This smoothie is filled with lots of vitamins and minerals to keep up energy during pregnancy and postpartum. Vitamin C for immunity, fibre for digestion and folate for foetal health, this refreshing smoothie will be cooling treat on hot summer days. Enjoy! Nb xx
Ingredients:1 banana, cut into smaller pieces, frozen (or fresh)1 cup fresh or frozen ripe pineapple pieces1 cup fresh spinach, or kale leaves (kale stalks removed)1 cup unsweetened almond milk2 tablespoons almond butter1 teaspoon maple syrup1/2 teaspoon finely grated peeled gingeroptional: 1 teaspoon matcha powder
Preparation:Blend banana, pineapple, greens, almond milk, almond butter, maple syrup, ginger and matcha powder in a blender until smooth. If using fresh produce, not frozen, we recommend adding a few ice cubes to keep in thick and cool. Sweeten with more maple syrup, if you like.
Makes one large glass.
