  • Sustainable Materials: We prioritise the use of organic cotton, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), and merino wool, certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and ZQ Merino, sourced from responsible farms. Our focus is on using renewable, biodegradable, and ethically sourced materials.
  • Energy Efficiency: We work to minimise energy consumption and promote energy-efficient practices in our operations, including manufacturing, packaging, and shipping.
  • Waste Reduction: We strive to minimise waste at every step, from reducing material waste in production to promoting recyclable and biodegradable packaging.
  • Water Conservation: We adopt water-efficient practices in the production of our apparel, reducing water usage in the cultivation of cotton and during processing.

2. Social Responsibility

We are committed to promoting fair labour practices and ensuring that everyone involved in our supply chain is treated with respect and dignity.

  • Fair Wages and Safe Working Conditions: We work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure fair wages, safe working environments, and adherence to local labour laws. We prioritise relationships with suppliers who demonstrate a commitment to ethical labour practices.
  • No Child Labour or Forced Labour: We maintain a strict policy against child labour and forced labour, ensuring that everyone who contributes to our products is working under fair and free conditions.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: We value diversity in our workplace and strive to create an inclusive environment where everyone is treated with respect, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, or background .

3. Animal Welfare

As we use merino wool in our products, ensuring the welfare of animals is a top priority.

  • Ethical Wool Sourcing: We ensure that the merino wool we use is sourced from farms that follow strict animal welfare standards, including the prohibition of mulesing. We work only with suppliers who provide certified animal welfare assurances.
  • Respect for Life: We believe in the humane treatment of all animals and are committed to ensuring that our wool products come from farms that uphold the highest ethical standards .

4. Supply Chain Accountability

We believe that trust is built through transparency and that we must be accountable to our customers and stakeholders.

  • Certifications and Standards: Nature Baby adheres to globally recognised certifications for organic and sustainable products, such as GOTS for organic cotton and merino wool, and ZQ Merino for merino wool. Regular audits are undertaken to ensure compliance with these standards.

  • Supply Base: We work closely with a limited supply base, ensuring that they share the same ethical and sustainable practices and standards as Nature Baby.

6. Compliance and Ethics

At Nature Baby, we adhere to the highest ethical standards and ensure that we comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Legal Compliance:We comply with all national and international laws regarding environmental protection, labour rights, and trade practices
  • Ethical Conduct: We expect all employees, suppliers, and partners to conduct themselves ethically in all business dealings, ensuring honesty, integrity, and fairness.
  • To assure ethical business behaviour, Nature Baby shall comply with the following criteria:
  • Keep an active supplier Code of Conduct (CoC)
  • Adhere to relevant OECD guidelines
  • Not be involved in any act of corruption, extortion or embezzlement, or bribery
  • Keep accurate information regarding activities, structure and performance
  • Do not participate in falsifying information, nor in any act of misrepresentation in the supply chain
  • Personal information collected (including from staff, business partners, customers) shall be kept with reasonable care, and shall comply with privacy and information security laws and regulatory requirements

7. Governance and Oversight

The implementation of this policy is overseen by Nature Baby’s leadership team, who are responsible for ensuring compliance across all areas of the business.

  • Monitoring and Reporting:We conduct regular reviews and assessments of our environmental, social, and governance practices. Any deviations from our policy are addressed promptly and transparently.

Acceptance

Participation in the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

If the Winner does not accept these Terms and Conditions the prize will be forfeited.

Promotions and these Terms and Conditions are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand.
