We have an exciting opportunity to join our senior management team as Head of Product and Procurement. Managing sizable team you will take the reins leading Nature Baby’s product design, supply chain and merchandise planning solutions.
We are looking for a natural people manager with a high level of commercial acumen, who can capture Nature Baby’s vision whilst driving for continuous improvement. This role reports into the company Director/CEO.
What you'll do:
• manage procurement process and supplier relationships, effectively negotiating prices, lead times and trading terms that increase sales and profitability
• work with Directors and Head of Design and Product to formulate and execute seasonal and core product strategy
• develop seasonal and long-term product architecture that represents rand and meets financial goals and objectives
• provide direction and strategy to Merchandise planning department
• meticulously plan and manage Company OTB That maintains optimum stock requirements to maximize and achieve revenue, cash flow and profit targets
• manage entire Nature Baby inwards logistics
• understand the changing trading environment and change and adopt strategic and tactical initiatives to reach sales, Margin, and stock KPIs
• ensure product and merchandise planning strategy delivers seasonal and annual financial objectives
• provide accurate and timely reporting with insightful analysis to support business decisions
• lead a high performing team that values transparency and authenticit
• provide support, coaching and regular feedback to enable team members to meet their full potential
What you'll bring:
• 5+ years in a multi-channel retail environment
• excellent analytical & numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• be able to work in a fast moving retail environment and meet strict deadlines
• familiar with OTB planning, category and buying plans
• passion for sustainability, ethical products and conscious consumption
• commercial acumen coupled with excellent teamwork, communication, and prioritising skills
• advanced computer skills in particular ERP, Excel, Outlook, On Tempo is a must
