Could you tell us...

The story behind this new collection?
Our next collection here in the South is from the idea of ‘The Winterlands’. It represents an enchanting historical landscape of mystical mazes, secret gardens and hidden meadows. We love representations of nature throughout history so have taken this and added a touch of the whimsical. Upon entering these lands expect the unexpected to occur. You might find your self invited to a lavish dinner party hosted by rabbits.

What next season’s ‘must-have’ print will be?
The Bunny Maze print. It’s a cute mix of nostalgia and modern with topiary bushes, bunnies and bunny tracks. We love the idea of a land inhabited by mythical animals. Dont get lost in the bunny maze!

The item you love most from all your collections (even if no one else liked it !)?
Our designs are like our babies, it’s hard to think one is not loved as much as another. One design we have coming up that we have fallen in love with is our new sleepwear ‘Star Gazer’ print. It has delicate stars and constellations in a subtle off-white on a slumbering grey background. It’s such a cute neutral print and even if your little one isn’t going to sleep like you wish they would, they still look like they are heading that way…. getting ready for a night of dreaming.

The happiest memory you have since the launch of your company ?
When we travel around the world and see babies wearing Nature Baby it’s great to see that sort of support and a real compliment to what we set out to achieve many years ago. It makes us really happy to see people searching out this pure idea all the way from New Zealand.

Who would your brand be if it was a famous character from a fairy tale?
Alice from ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Described by her author as’ loving and gentle’, ‘couteous to all’ ‘trustful’ and ‘wildly curious’… these are all values we aspire to and are inherent in the NB philosophy.

A secret about your brand that no one else knows?
We are big fans of the three piece English band ‘Kitty, Daisey and Lewis’ so much so that each year we have named a garment style after them, this past summer we finished off the trio with the Lewis suit, collect the set and buy the album!
