Nothing beats the superiority of wool for absorbing body moisture and regulating body temperature. Air is allowed to circulate between the soft wool knops, keeping baby warm and dry without overheating. Nature baby mattresses are hand made without the use of plastics, solvents, flame-retardants, formaldehyde and the fabrics used are completely free of any chemical residue. The wool knops, while providing support, do not place undue pressure on the back of baby's developing head. Please note we recommend the use of Nature Baby Organic Woollen Mattress Protectors with our mattresses as these will allow air to flow through the mattress effectively. The use of plastic protectors and baby sensor monitors is not recommended.
