Merino wool is a perfect fabric for clothing newborn babies. It insulates, absorbs moisture, breathes and is soft and non-irritating. This is very important for newborns who still have fragile temperature mechanisms. Our eco wool is completely free of any chemical residues. It has been grown and processed free of chemicals typically used in the wool process e.g. drenches, scours, bleaches and shrinkage agents. The result is strong, durable fibres with extra softness and luxury. As wool is naturally anti-bacterial, it does not harbour odour so does not need to be washed as regularly as other garments.
Nature Baby merino is available in 3 knits; Essentials perfect for everyday wear, machine washable, incredibly soft and strong. Handknits a heavier knit suitable for outerwear. Finespun finished in a lighter silkier knit.
